I have never liked night running—it's something I tolerate during extra-long ultras—but I really appreciated and felt a bit inspired by your perspective. I just don't like having my vision limited. I invested in Kogala lights which light up the trail a lot better than a single headlamp, so that helps. Nice post!
Oh no! Another Kogala runner with your own personal strap-on sun 😎... the first time I encountered this, I thought there was a fire in the woods ahead of me. I understand the appeal, though (but I'm happy with my Petzl). I guess night runs are an acquired taste, but I also think of it the way I think about the seasons — winter running helps me appreciate summer running, etc. Heading off now to enjoy a daylight run in the mountains on this 74F November day (we often have snow here in PA by now). Thanks for the comment, Sarah.

Haha true Kogalas are crazy but they help me. I just did a 6hr hike/run on snow & ice!
